	<li>The challenge simulates a Data Breach checker using a search engine</li>

<h2>Technical approach:</h2>

<ul>
	<li>I examined the source page to search for any JavaScript or comments, but it consisted solely of clear HTML/CSS with no JavaScript scripts included.</li>
	<li>I attempted to manually inspect for the presence of the OWASP Top 10</li>
	<li>I entered a query that triggered the SQL injection vulnerability.</li>
	<li>I used the simple &ldquo;1&rsquo; OR 1=1 --&rdquo; SQL Injection query which translates to &ldquo; SELECT email FROM users WHERE email= &lsquo;1&rsquo; OR 1=1 --&rsquo; &rdquo;</li>

Which is going to evaluate to True and thus is going to get all emails

Now, with a foothold, let&rsquo;s try to read the table configuration using the query &ldquo; 1&#39; UNION SELECT sql FROM sqlite_schema-- &rdquo;. This reutrns

&ldquo;CREATE TABLE users (email TEXT PRIMARY KEY, password TEXT)&rdquo;. Moving forward, let&rsquo;s try to retrieve the password using the query &ldquo; 1&#39; or 1=1 UNION SELECT password FROM users -- &rdquo; It returns a list of all users&rsquo;s passwords

After a brief investigation, I found a base64 encoded string &ldquo;VFJVU1RMSU5FeyFfSEB2M18zZWVuX1Amd24zZH0K&rdquo; I quickly recognized it from my past experiences.

I turned to CyberChef, a reliable platform for decoding/decrypting ciphers, to decode the base64-encoded string

	<li>DataBreach challenge solved via SQL injection. Retrieved emails, table info, and passwords. Decoded base64 string for insights.</li>
	<li>I struggled a bit to find the table configuration during the SQL injection process in DataBreach.</li>

	<li>Solving challenges improved practical skills in OWASP Top 10 and SQL injection, highlighted cryptographic decoding.</li>
